KOEI tECMO

I had the pleasure of working at KOEI TECMO for a year and during this period I was involved in various AAA projects as a Character artist. I am responsible in characters and weapons creation, handling the whole process of modeling, texturing and rigging. Aside from creating assets for console and pc game titles, occasionally I am involved in concept work. Here are some of the projects among many others that I have worked on during my stay in the company.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Square Enix and KOEI TECMO collaborated to create this game and I had the pleasure to work on Bartz's alternate costume which is based on the "Freelancer" outfit in Final Fantasy V.

I worked on modeling, texturing and rigging for this character. Primary tools used for this are Zbrush, Softimage and Photoshop.

Berserk

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is a game based on a popular manga in Japan. It is famous for it's dark theme and story, therefore most of the villain characters looks rather monstrous. In this game I get the opportunity to work on multiple characters and one of them is a boss character "Slan". I worked on modeling, texturing and rigging for this character. Primary tools used are Zbrush, Softimage, Xnormal and Photoshop.

Dead or Alive 5

Dead or Alive 5 is one of the popular fighting game in Japan, I was assigned to create costume dlc for the game. Here are some examples of my work for this game.

Atelier Escha & Logy

It was a great experience to be able to work with "Gust", a subsidiary that produces the "Atelier" series. This game has a unique style which should be reflected closely in the texturing process. Here are some of the examples of my work in game.

Other Titles

There are much more game titles that should be included into this list, such as Square Enix's "Dragon Quest Heroes" and some of the MMORPG games that I have worked on. I have also worked on the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. It was a great learning experience, I have gained useful technical skills and improved my aesthetic taste during my stay in KOEI TECMO.
